Red Dot Cinema curates inspiring Asian short films and organises screenings around to the world. Founded in 2015, Red Dot Cinema has travelled to 23 cities worldwide, bringing Asian short films, diverse Asian cultures, social issues, and entertainment to the global audience.

JustCo, a stylish co-working space situated in the heart of Singapore’s CBD will be hosting a Red Dot Cinema~ Asian Short Film Screening, with 6 short films from Japan, Singapore, Korea, China, and India.

A geeky young man prepares for his upcoming driving test by driving his father’s taxi around in the neighbourhood nightly. Like many guys his age, he believes that a driving license will help him attract the opposite sex. His dream, or you can say nightmare, came true when he was forced to pick up a runaway teenage girl as his passenger. Together, these two strangers embark on an unforgettable journey of magic and terror, laying the foundation of a potential friendship along the way.

The film CHASNI deals with one of the most horrendous proliferating crime towards women known to be as Acid-Attacks. Post-attack it creates a mark in the form of Disfiguration (VIRUPAN) to the survivor, which has its traumatic effect on one being both physically and psychologically. The entire story is being conversed in the form of event & saying word poetry by one of the survivors, her post-attack experiences & the journey of facing day to day life with disfigurement. This story is entirely built on several true life occurrences & experiences of the attack survivors, showing their state of compromise in their daily lives. Film is designed in the form of 2D-Animation as major film project of IDC, IIT Bombay. Directed & animated by Abhishek Verma.

‘Made’ follows the intriguing double life of a young Japanese woman in Tokyo. When a brief encounter with a foreigner threatens to unravel her hidden existence she does everything it takes to protect her secrets.
